Last year Harris County Housing Finance Corporation asked RT Houston to submit a request for funds to complete emergency home repairs in East Harris County. This Demonstration Initiative commenced in March of 2004 with a $250,000 grant to deliver essential repairs by contractors at 40 or more addresses of qualified homeowners.
In November of 2003, HUD dictated that no more repair contracts could be initiated in the Houston Emergency Home Repair Program citing three service organizations for breeches in contracts. RT Houston – Houston Housing Finance Corporation received no criticism for the repairs delivered in the Emergency Home Repair Program and each has satisfactory management and financial audits.
